cheers! Hello Tommy! Today is your 46th earth birthday. Happy Birthday to my dear, trusted friend and Guardian Angel. I would never let this day pass without wishing you the best. I could never match the help, advice, friendship, and love that you have brought to me over the past several years. Tommy, it is because of you and your encouragement that I have returned to God after years of bitterness. It is also because of you that I returned to the gym as well. You remain my inspiration everyday. I keep your pictures by my side and even carry one of them to the gym with me everyday to show friends my ''Special Personal Trainer''! I know you angels and celestial ascenders only really celebrate your return to the Lord as your real REbirthday. But we mortals celebrate you here for the love you leave behind for us all and the inspiration you continue to give with each new dawn.

I know you are so happy to have your beautiful Mama with you there in Heaven. I am so sorry that I never got to meet her in person, but I cherish our correspondence. Now God's Ethereal Realm has TWO of the finest Guardian Angels to guide us all here left behind!

Happy Birthday, my dear friend :)

It is with deep sorrow that I extend my most heartfelt condolences to the entire Foley family on the passing of the Matriarch of the family, Patricia. I am so saddened that I never got the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Foley in person, but I hold dear all of the Christmas cards and correspondence we have shared through the past few years. I know she now soars high with her beloved son, Tommy as an angel like him. I also know that Tommy came for her to accompany her journey to God's Gate. They are now together in the Lord's Paradise He has promised each of us one day. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Foley family. It's been hard to sleep knowing and understanding the pain so well that they are going through at this sorrowful time. I am so thankful that Mrs. Foley is no longer in any pain and now at peace with her Tommy boy. God bless them both and the entire family.

''My Mother My Angel''

Once upon a time an angel held my hand,
She wiped away my tears and helped me understand.
Our time on earth is brief, there's lessons to be learned,
Each precious day God gives us another page is turned.
Every chapter full of memories, times of joy and tears,
Triumphs and defeats, through every passing year.
She loved us unconditionally, always by our side,
When no one else would listen, in her we could confide.
With gentle words of wisdom she led us on our way,
Down the paths of righteousness if ever we did stray.
She saw the light in everyone and gave with no regrets,
Always from her heart let's not forget.
Angels come in many forms, for me it is my mother,
With love I cannot say in words there'll never be another.
Every day I turn the page in my heart will ever remain,
Everything she taught me as I stroll down memory lane.
Thank you God for giving me the most priceless of all treasures,
Help my Lord to keep alive her memory here forever.
I pray that I can some day be everything she hoped I would,
That's she smiling down from heaven knowing she did good.
As we gather here today there's no ending to her story,
Another chapter has begun full of grace and glory.
God's called her to his heavenly home, part of his great plan,
Although it may be hard, we all must understand.
Faith is what is hoped for, things we cannot see,
Heaven is promised to all of us if only we believe.

To the Foley Family.. Crystal and I send our prayers! We have 3 boys ... I can't think of even loosing 1! Here's our Facebook Message: Please find us on FB!

I thank the "only" useful portion of the TSA for our gift of life. Our pup was named after Thomas Foley, a young firefighter who perished in the 9/11 towers.

I'm actually speechless on what to say..... thank you, I'm sorry, I'm hurt, I feel for you. I believe a piece of this hero has been in stilled into this canine. He's Awesome!!! we have been "Very" safe for 9yrs + and if you know "Foley", he has 3 ass whippings under his belt... which unusual! a very loving pup. I'm thankful and sorry at the same time. .. Thank you TSA for Moosey's, my son's Christmas present!

I can't imagine the pain of that day, since I am so far away in Dixie. Loss is loss and although I know none of you, you all are heroes to me. Joanne, Danny, Tommy (skydiving daily :) ) are an inspiration to live EVERY day as if it's your last.
Tommy died devoted to his job, saving others, and devoted to his family.
Thank you for sharing him with us-even in this small way.........Laurie

September 11th 2001 was such a tragic event and each year my thoughts are with America. In particular the Foley family who lost such a brave young man.

I plan to visit New York in the next couple of years to pay my respects to all the Americans who lost their lives on that horrific day!

I hope you get through this day remembering the beautiful times you shared with Thomas and know he is still watching and looking after you all each day.

Love and Thoughts to you all xxx

Some friends and my husband and I visited the 911 Memorial a couple years ago. I snapped a photo of your name "Thomas J. Foley" only knowing that I was paying respects to a firefighter hero of 11 years ago at the time. I found this website simply by googling your name. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice protecting your city and our country. God Bless your family and loved ones you left behind. Heaven is for real and heroes such as you are sitting on high!

I remember getting the issue of PEOPLE magazine when I was a little girl. I flipped through and only thought you should have been the #1 most eligible bachelor. I was in the 8th grade when the tragedy of 9/11 happened. Later when I found out you were one of the many hero's that lost their lives it was a heartbreak. I know I never knew you and we never crossed paths but every year I look for your name to go across the screen and think of you. God Bless your family and all whose lives you touched. May your memory never be forgotten!

My Heart and thoughts are with each member of the Foley family this solemn time of year. Believe me when I say, that if I could trade places with Tommy and God would allow me, I would have already sent him back home safely to you all. Tommy had a very special place on this earth and had so much more to give. More so than any contribution I could ever make in a lifetime. I have pleaded with God on several occasions to reconsider my request, but to no avail. I would indeed trade my life and give it to Tommy. But I also know that God's Plan is perfection. Tommy's destiny was known by the Lord long before he was even conceived. Special Angels like Tommy are allowed here for only a short while. They serve mankind admirably and then must return to God's Kingdom. I realize that I am really not man enough to even to begin to comprehend Tommy's work he does now for all of mankind as a benevolent Spirit. That is why God had to take him back - Tommy is SPECIAL. God Bless you, Tommy. Thank you for guarding America with all of your firefighter brothers in Heaven with you on this day.

“HAIL TO A HERO”

Hail to Tommy Our Hero, strong and true!
Who fought the fight and saw it through
Who soldiered forward, so bold and brave
Willingly gave his life, our land and countrymen to save
From his beloved New York harbor’s shore
Far above this mighty metropolis’ roar
Let us proclaim his bravery from every town and hillside
Of Heroes like Tommy who swell our hearts with American Pride
Now with the Lord Our God, he does reside
But Tommy Our Hero sleeps not, for he is still saving lives!
For his is truly a Heart of Gold, so as a Holy Soldier onward he strives
To keep us all safe he was called Home at God’s Command
Tommy is part of The Lord’s Master Plan
To continue in Spirit to serve his fellow man
In mysterious ways we may not understand.
Because this world is in such a mess
Our Heavenly Father must take the very best
For Heroes like Tommy, there is never any rest.
Now, all Thank God for Our Hero Tommy,
For with him, mankind is truly Blessed!

~~~~Mark Wayne Gregory - September 11th, 2013
Hi Tommy,
I could never let this Memorial Day weekend pass without remembering the sacrifice you and your 342 Firefighter Brothers made to save so many thousands of innocent lives that fateful day of September 11th, 2001.
We must all remember that you brave men were the first casualties on our own American soil in this terrible war we never instigated with an Islamic enemy we never antagonized. I have come to realize that God our Father would never forsake his sons. His Plans for you all are absolutely magnificent and perfect in his Will. I know you and your FF Brothers are now Christ's Soldiers, lock-stepped with all of the veterans of wars past, continuing to protect us all here.
God Bless you Tommy for your Heroism and Ultimate Sacrifice. The Lord has rewarded you and those men the Gift of Eternal Life.
None of us will ever forget you.
This past weekend, I took part in the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb during FDIC. I chose to do the climb for FF Thomas J Foley. (Rescue 3) It was one of the hardest things I've done. I stood at the bottom of the last flight of stairs that lead to the memorial bell, gathered myself, and made that final flight of stairs. I took his card with his face on it off of my helmet, stared at his face, whispered, "this is for you" and rang that bell for him. With tears filling my eyes, I can say it was truly an honor and a privilege to shout his name. You, Brother, will NEVER be forgotten!
That is absolutely beautiful. I know his family is grateful for your compassion and dedication to Tommy's memory. Brings tears to my eyes too.
Our Heroes like Tommy and his 342 firefighter brothers will NEVER be forgotten. We must never let the world forget what these brave souls had to endure and face that fateful day.
We must also take solace in the fact that they are all now safe in Christ's Arms. God takes care of these souls first. They have ascended to the highest existence and now live in ecstasy with the Lord. This I know.
cheers! Hello Dear Tommy! HAPPY 45th BIRTHDAY!
I know you Angels in heaven actually celebrate your return Home to God as your New Rebirth into Eternal Life with Christ. But, all of us mortals left behind here just couldn't let this day go by without remembering the day that God sent you here for your life's destiny. A life in which you honed your skills so well, that God needed you back in Heaven in a hurry once He saw how special you are and what all you accomplished.
God has now given you what none of us here on Earth could ever give to you for a Birthday present: The Gift of Eternal Life! God, our Loving Father has Blessed you now with the best "Rebirthday" present anyone could ever acquire.
If you were here in Dallas today, I would have taken you to La Mansion on Turtle Creek for a 5-Star, birthday dinner. You deserve the best.
Thank you for all of your Spiritual Guidance and for spotting me in the gym every single day. I know you are there, always to whisper encouragement. You continue to amaze me. Between you and Mama, I have the two best Guardian Angels from Heaven that God could send.
I am forever in your debt and at your service for all that you have done for me!
Have a Wonderful Happy Birthday in Heaven with all of your Angel buddies today!! LOL!!!
One of those amazing moments in life; My name is Allan Foley and my wife, Nicole, and I just spent an aniversary weekend in New York City. Our first time visiting to the US. I'm a Canadian citizen whose family tree is rooted in West Virginia. My Grampa Mose came north to Canada in 1923. Foley is a proud but uncommon name up here.
My wife and I visited the 9/11 memorial site yesterday before heading home to Canada. We were just two visitors in a line of hundreds. Once we were finally through the entrance, we slowly worked our way up first to the west side of the south pool. The crowd around the pool completely ostructed our view. We had to wait patiently and step forward as people left and opened up the view. Finally we worked our way up to the edge of the pool. We had not known anyone who parished that day or anyone lost a loved one in the tragedy. I looked down to read some of the names and the very first name I read right were I wa standing was Thomas J. Foley! I was blown away. My wife commented "what are the odds of us reading Thomas Foley's name first out of 3,000 names?" It was an incredibly emotional moment for us. Like some force steared us to that precise location!
We arrived back home to Canada and I decided to see what I could learn about Thomas on the internet. My first search brought me here.
I just want to say that we are a very proud and close family and particularily proud of our American roots. And now we feel especially honoured to share the name of a hero like Thomas.
This weekend of is one that will live forever in our memories and we'll never forget Thomas. We wish we really knew him but in some strange way, I feel like we were introduced yesterday.
We miss you Tommy. Remember those times sittin behind the chutes drinkin a beer nursing our wounds and just talkin. I Remember the day you told us all you were going to quit riding because it put the people in danger. Quit something you loved to better serve people. You always had the greatest most infectious smile. I just couldn't be around you with out having a good time. You surely taught us all to enjoy what we have and cherish every moment we have with each other. I miss you buddy one day we will ride together again. Sit on some fence some were afterwards enjoy a cold beer and talk about the time we've missed.
Every year I pull out the baseball looking card with Tommy's picture of the front and the fireman's prayer on the back and am reminded how much this one day changed my life.
You see..I was a senior at West Point on that day and happened to be eating dinner at Applebee's a few nights later while an older man, with his blues on, clearly coming from a funeral was finishing his meal with his wife. We picked up his tab and he came over and talked to us about who we were and what our plans were. He said we reminded him of Tommy with that fire in our eyes and handed us that card.
Over the last 12 years I have flown in Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan with that card tucked in my kneeboard to remind me..."For Tommy".
Let us never forget...
What a beautiful and extremely emotionally-moving story. Thank you and God Bless You for serving our Great Nation. We must never forget. Our Heroes like you, Tommy, and all of the 9/11 Fallen will never be forgotten.
“HAIL TO A HERO”
Hail to Tommy Our Hero, strong and true!
Who fought the fight and saw it through
Who soldiered forward, so bold and brave
Willingly gave his life, our land and countrymen to save
From his beloved New York harbor’s shore
Far above this mighty metropolis’ roar
Let us proclaim his bravery from every town and hillside
Of Heroes like Tommy who swell our hearts with American Pride
Now with the Lord Our God, he does reside
But Tommy Our Hero sleeps not, for he is still saving lives!
For his is truly a Heart of Gold, so as a Holy Soldier onward he strives
To keep us all safe he was called Home at God’s Command
Tommy is part of The Lord’s Master Plan
To continue in Spirit to serve his fellow man
In mysterious ways we may not understand.
Because this world is in such a mess
Our Heavenly Father must take the very best
For Heroes like Tommy, there is never any rest.
Now, all Thank God for Our Hero Tommy,
For with him, mankind is truly Blessed!
**So long as there is a breath left within me, I will NEVER allow your legacy or contribution to saving The American Way of Life to ever be forgotten. I was lost several years ago and you came quickly to lead me back to the Lord with your Spiritual Guiding Light from Heaven. God has truly blessed me with a Guardian Angel like you. If the decision were soley mine, you would be cannonized a saint. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you Tommy and the Foley family during this sad, solemn time in America. Thank God for Heroes like Tommy and all of the 9/11 Fallen who have joined him with Christ Our Savior. All of them are now Warrior Angels who continue to defend the Will of God. As the Holy Bible proclaims their strengths and abilities have been increased 100-fold in God’s Holy Realm.
~~~MAY GOD BLESS ALL~~~

I followed Tommy Foley before 09-11-2001. I was so impressed by his living life to the fullest. I saw him on TV & in the People Magazine years ago. When the terrorists hit New York, I checked for his name & found it on the missing list. In October 2001, I found a site that were selling bracelets with the names of FDNY missing & confirmed dead & I requested "Thomas Foley Rescue 3" bracelet. Now in 2013, my own son is a firefighter & has participated in the stair climb every year on 09-11 in honor of the 343 FDNY lost their lives. My son called me this morning to tell me whose name he pulled and much to my surprise, it is Thomas Foley Rescue 3. When he told me, I got the chills & started to cry. Tommy, you are not forgotten by someone who didn't know you, but did admire you. Rest in peace. Know your name is being worn by another firefighter that knows your story & is very proud to take your name & memory to the top of the stair climb in your honor

I am an ambulance EMT in London UK, I am in awe of the story of the FDNY responders and I was especially touched my Tommys story. I hope his family take comfort in knowing that even today his legacy will drive an EMT accross the other side of the world to push on and be the best I can be, and this will be repeated all over the world, he is a true inspiration and in my case is still helping to save lives.

Hello, I've just been watching a tv programme here in the UK. Amongst all the first fighters involved in that tragic day, Tommy's name was mentioned.

I wanted to just say that I'm thinking of him, his family, all the other fire fighters and families lost on that day. Also of course to all those in the Twin Towers who lost their lives.

I pray that they now be in peace and never forgotten xxxx

Once more the event known around the world as "9/11" is only a few days away. Another "...day that will live in infamy."

Once more, on this anniversary date, we honor and pray for Tommy and the souls of all those we lost on that day.

Tommy's smile, either the remembrance of it or looking at his picture, still lights up a room. God Bless.

Every year I sign this page to let you know that across the world people never forget the heroism of so many people that day including Thomas! He was a true hero that day and his actions will never be forgotten - even across the Atlantic! It's scary to think another year is approaching since that horrific day.

My thoughts, prayers and love are sent to Thomas, his family friends and everyone else affected by 9/11.

Be strong, be true and stick together! With love from the UK xxxx

I can't believe another year is almost here! I look at your face & think about Jr High & how all the girls had crushes on you & what an amazing guy you were when we'd run in to you after high school. Heaven is so lucky to have you but I wish we had gotten a little longer! Thought of you when I took my little girl to see Tim McGraw this summer. Think about you a lot but will be thinking about you constantly the next few weeks. I hope your family has found some peace & you are smiling that beautiful smile on us all!
